The Chesapeake Bay has been a part of Captain Laird's life since early childhood.  His family were Chesapeake Bay watermen and he learned early that it took hard work to be able to accomplish ones goals in life. 

His goal, simply being, was and is to live and work on the Chesapeake Bay.  It took years of struggling along with his love for fishing that lead him to obtaining his captain's licenses.

Dreams do come true. 

Captain Laird now provides a "Boat That Does Everything" on the Chesapeake Bay.

"Some of the best fishing around the US East Coast is on the Chesapeake Bay", according to Laird.  There is not a day that goes by that he does not look forward to taking the "Bay Eagle" and heading out on the Bay. 

And; when he is not on Charter Fishing trips, he is providing cruises, freight service, and transportation to and from Tangier Island, all through reservations only. 

If for any reason, travel is needed when the tour boats to and from Tangier Island are not convenient, or the US Mail & Freight Boat is not operational, Captain Laird can assist you in your Tangier Island travels.

He is one who believes in treating people the way he would like to be treated. He has that "Chesapeake Bay Attitude" of being straight forward, yet pleasant with people. 

Captain Laird was born on Smith Island and currently has family on Smith and Tangier. He resides in Crisfield, Md, is married with three children.
